Collection: Courses - for CPD and enjoyment

These courses draw from Cannabis Lawyer Russell Bennett's expertise and his book Canada's Cannabis Act: Annotation & Commentary to give the student a glimpse into the underpinnings of Canada's cannabis laws, with a focus on the laws prohibiting cannabis possession, cultivation and sale.

The first series, Canadian Cannabis Legal History, is split into two parts: in Part 1 Russell describes the origin of the drug law and when and why cannabis was criminalized. In Part 2, Russell discusses how the drug law prohibiting cannabis was challenged and changed, leading up to legalization on October 17, 2018.
